I decided to do a Struzan inspired movie poster for my daughter - here it is. 5 year old kids are REALLY HARD to pose for reference shots. Click for a bigger version.

Here's an Orc portrait I did for someone on ConceptArt. About 1.5 hours. I was looking at a lot of Drew Struzan posters before doing this.

A 2 hour Christina Hendricks photo study for tonight's practice. Yay Mad Men!
Just a really quick 40 minute random thing today to stay on top of practice. I just blobbed on some color and dug something out of it.

Tonight's four-hour project. I think this is the most successful I've ever been in painting what I intended and saw in my head to begin with. Photo studies are really helping out!
As always, click the pic for a bigun.

Another photo study today sticking to the space swashbuckling thing. Malcom Reynolds.
This one took a little longer - the clothes were fiddly and I'm not really happy with them. Need to figure out a better way to paint this sort of textured, lined cloth.
Anyway! Click for a bigger, nicer version.

Let's follow up the scoundrel with a farm-boy - this one's about two and a half hours too.
These are a lot more fun to do photo-studies from than boring old normal people.

Final and process anim, as usual. Click the biggie for a larger version.

I think I'm pretty much done for CHOW this week on CA-
here's my 'classic fantasy pinup' - heavily Elvgren influenced as a retro beer ad.
Something's gotta hang behind the tavern bartop!

Click the pic for a nice big-sized version.
